It's been a long time and to be honest with you I don't know why I'm keeping this thing alive, cuz its far from dead already but here it goes:

Hawaii was amazinnnggg. I'm just gonna copy my myspace bulletin instead of rewriting everything that happened, so if you're bored

So here's my trip to Hawaii-starting and ending at JFK Airport.

I flew to LA with my mom, dad and brother. I was anxious the whole time to see what the girls would be like and what the room situations were gonna be. Once I got to LAX, Sheena and Anto (New Mexico) were the first to come up to me in their red outfits (we had to wear red to determine which passengers were softball players). They introduced themselves and we hit it off right away because they were really sweet. Later during our flight delay, we grabbed some McDonalds and chilled. I ended up switching seats with some guy and sitting with them on the flight to Hawaii. They were the nicest and most outgoing girls ever, and I could tell from there that the trip was going to be amazing.

We got to Hawaii around 6:30pm where I met my coach, Keith (Iowa). He ended up being an awesome coach and a really funny dude and he was always there to make Leigh (Mississippi) and I practically piss our pants with his comments. So I get off the airplane and meet three girls who had already gotten there: Selina (Pennsylvania), Ashtyn (California) and my future roomie, Jerrica (Utah). J Diggy, as I later nicknamed her, leid me with these amazing smelling flowers and we got our luggage and went to the hotel in the infamous van. (Britan, I'm pretty sure you were in the same van with me…which makes me even angrier cuz we could have became friends earlier..I was probably scared of you lol.) When Jerr and I got into the hotel room, we quickly claimed beds by messing them up so that if our other roomie came while we were gone she knew not to take them (haha sorry Leigh!). We went to Coldstone the first night and then J Digs and I came back and went to bed, surprised that our other roomate hadn't arrived yet.

I woke up the next morning to a person in the shower. I looked to J's bed and saw her lying there so I knew it was our other roomie. Leigh comes out 5 minutes later in a towel and was all like "Hey ya'll I'm Leigh from South Haven Mississippi" (haha:-P) The three of us hit it off right away, quickly making a mess of our tiny ass hotel room that we never let the maids in to clean up. (We ended up being the bestest, closest pair of roomates in Hawaii). That day it was rainy so we rode up to the North Shore and saw big waves and lots of surfers. We ate nasty garbage sandwiches for lunch in the van and I met my teammates (Kim (Texas), Sam (Florida), Megen (Georgia), Cecille (So. Carolina), Marissa (Michigan) and Amanda (one of the M states, I always forget this one)). We later went to a luau at some famous football player's house, which turned out to be a hell of a lot of fun. We learned all about the Hawaiian culture and dances, and ate some amazing food that was cooked in an underground oven. The people there were extremely hospitable and we spent some time on the beach as well. Later on that day we had practice under the lights and that's when me and Leigh realized how amazing our team really was. Turns out we had 3 amazing, amazing, amazing starting pitchers and everyone had the ability to drive the ball. I quickly became pumped because the thought of winning it all was getting closer and closer.

During the next couple of days we walked the strip, went to shopping malls and went to the beach. Me, Leigh and Jerrica became amazingly close, and I was soooo happy to room with them. Our nights in the hotel were always filled with laughter and everywhere we went we stuck together. Me and Leigh caught on to Jerrica's inability to do a lot of things because of her "Mormonism" (we made that word up) and me and Jerrica caught on to Laeigh's heavy southern accent. As a result, our days were spent with me and Leigh constantly torturing J about her religion, asking retarded questions like "Can Mormons use Q-Tips?" or "Can Mormon's go tanning?" but Jerr knew we were kidding:]….me and Jerr would make fun of Leigh everytime she said ya'll (even though we started saying it by the end of the trip)…and Leigh and Jerrica would insist that "yous" isn't a word, even though we all know that New Yorkers say yous all the time. Every waking moment with these girls was spent laughing our butts off.

Walking the strip was fun because Waikiki Beach is exactly like NYC but with palm trees, so it was a familiar sight for me. It was funny walking with Jerr and Leigh..small town girls who aren't used to the city. It took awhile for them to get used to all the people, mimes, bums and to jay walk with me, but they did good=). One mime cursed us off because Sam touched his stereo..it was scary and funny at the same time, he was a moron tho.

Within 4/5 days we played a lot of pool games and my team went on a 7 or 8 game winning streak until we lost our last pool play game to team Maui in a nail biting game under the lights. It took us less than a game to develop team chemistry and after winning our first game, it was all breezy from there. We had great pitching, great hitting and solid defense. We kept in the game mentally for the full 90 minutes each, and just kept earning wins left and right. I did really well personally, better than I thought I would. All the girls from the other team nicknamed me baller, which I loved lol (thanks Cori!). My play hilights during those games consisted of a diving catch in center field, gunning out a girl at home from center field and hitting an inside the park homerun.

Oh my, NEW YEARS EVE! hahah what a story. Well we had to be in our rooms by 11 so that at 11:45 our coach could come collect us and bring us down to the beach to watch the fireworks together. My mom had signed me out so I could spend the new years with my family. When I left the hotel room at around 11:30, Jdiggy and Leigh were napping. J woke up and I specifically told her "My mom is signing me out, I won't be here to wake you up so you can go with the team." She said ok, rolled over and went to bed. The countdown came and went with pretty fireworks, but no Jerr or Leigh! Haha, turns out they missed New Years in Hawaii, and I'll never let them live it down! I came back to the hotel to find them sleeping at 12:30 and Jerr didn't believe me that it was over. They both watched the fireworks on my camera and went to bed lol.

New Years Day I signed out again with my family. It was the first time in like 5 days that I was away from my roomies, and it stunk being away from them. That's when I knew that saying goodbye 5 days later was gonna be rough. My family and I went up to the North Shore to visit a friend who lives there and go to the beach. On the way back we got lost and later on we went to a Japanese restaurant. After dinner I met up with Jerrica and a couple of other teammates and walked the strip til curfew.

Wednesday was the tournament day, we clinched first place in pool play so we played at 10:30 that morning. After bagging the first and second games with a win, we went to the U of H to eat. One more win meant winning the whole tournament. BEFORE style="mso-spacerun: yes" there. This is where I met Britan, one of my best friends in Hawaii. All the girls on that team were incredibly nice, and I wish I had gotten to know them all earlier! We played the championship game at 6:00, and it was intensely close throughout the whole game. The game was against the only team that beat us. With the nighttime effect under the lights and the on and off rain, I was shakin in my boots cuz I didn't want to lose. The game went all the way to the 8^th inning (extra innings) where the international tie breaker rule came into effect (each side starts the inning with a girl on second and no outs). Selina was the runner on second and my teammates ended up moving her over to third. I was at bat with two outs, go ahead run 60 feet away. Three years ago, I was in the same situation at nationals (night game, championship game, two outs, extra innings, go-ahead on third, rain, etc) and I struck out looking. This time, I didn't do too much better. I blooped the ball in between the pitcher, third and the shortstop, but it had spin on it and I knew it was hitting the floor. Once it hit the floor, because it had so much spin, I knew it was gonna kick so I headed straight for second to confuse them a little bit. It worked, and Selina was heads-up and ran home. They threw, but too late and we took the lead, and never looked back=). We won first place, something I thought was only a dream in my head, but we did it.

The next day we went to Pearl Harbor (which was nice, but nothing more than a ship underwater to me) and the Polynesian Culture Center. At the PCC, we had our awards banquet and dinner, and watched a show with dancers and fire and lights and water. The awards ceremony was cute, but dinner was the best time of my life. Me, Jerr and Leigh sat with some of the girls from Hukilau. Me and Britan became extremely close that night, and I got to know girls I'll never forget like Elysa (Wisconsin) and Debbie (California). Me and Brit and Debbie texted throughout the whole show, and became really close (sucks it was the last day).

The next day was Friday, I didn't go to the waterpark with everyone because my flight was at 7 in the morning. The whole was home I was thinking of the friends I have made:

Jerrica (Utah): MORMON! You're the sweetest person ever! We were there for each other through the highs and lows of the week and I loved rooming with you! You leid me in the airport, and you were the first person on the team that I got to know. Right from the start I knew that we were going to have an amazing time. You are an amazing person, never ever ever change…and sorry for torturing you the whole week about Mormonism lol..you know I love you roomie!

Leigh (Mississippi): I loved you and your southern accent! You are the cutest southerner ever and I'm so happy I got to know and room with you on this trip! You were always, always there to make me laugh, even when I didn't feel like it. I couldn't have asked for a better roomie..we better keep in touch! and I better see you again because if I don't I'll cry. Sorry for making you sleep on the cot the whole week haha=P love you roomie!

Britan (Utah): If only I got to know you earlier bro. That's all I can say. We clicked from the moment we met, even if it was the last night. It only took me a second to realize how alike we are! We both love to laugh and just be ourselves..you are one of the realest, strongest, most amazing and positive people I know and I thank you for always being yourself. August is gonna be amazing, I can't wait to see you again and kick your ass in that rocks paper scissors game lol. Your midg loves you so much! Let's be friends forever, distance or not k?

Selina (Pennsylvania): You are the prettiest catcher ever lol. Malibu barbie!! you are an amazing softball player and I enjoyed standing on second watching you score the winning run of the championship game! Thanks for all the good memories and anytime you're in New York you better give me a call!

All of my teammates: Thanks for a wonderful time! Aloha is #1 baby!!!

Sheena (New Mexico): Thanks for breaking the ice in LAX girl, you are the most outgoing person ever! Never change because I love you the way you are! Remember to keep in touch. We better hang out again in the future. Keep on doing what you're doing, you are an amazing pitcher.

Anto (New Mexico): I love you girl! You are gorgeous! Soo many amazing times in the airport and on the plane, I'll never forget you! Stay sweet girlie, and don't lose touch! You are an amazing softball player I bet you'll go far! You and Sheena better come visit me one of these days! I miss you!

Debbie (California): So glad I got to meet you, even though it was my last night lol. Our texts were too funny..making fun of the dancers and all. Stay in touch, you are an amazing girl=)

Everyone else: Thanks for making this trip an unforgettable experience! everyone better keep in contact!

MY FAMILY!: I LOVE YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LETTING ME GO ENJOY THIS AMAZING TRIP. I COULDN'T HAVE DONE ANYTHING, OR HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR WITHOUT YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT. HAWAII 06/07 WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER, I DON'T THINK ILL EVER BE ABLE TO REPAY YOU<3333

Hawaii made me realize how fake Harrison is, and how much I really hate my school. It was the best experience of my life. We learned about a different culture, a different world that was still considered the United States, and I made lifelong friends. I also met my other half, Britan Ashworth from Utah..and I can't wait to visit her in August.
My weekends consist of going to journeys with sue, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Even though they're older, the people there are so much more mature and fun-loving..nothing like what you'll find in Harrison High..
I can drive alone now! It's exciting, I'm never gonna come home anymore..

Football is over soon which means Yankee time is coming up; get pumped.
